What is Akimbo Mod?

Akimbo mod makes semi-auto dual-wielded handguns highly effective as it gives you an ability to fire both pistols at the same time with a press of just one button. It can also make it easier to fire dual-wielding fully-automatic weapons.

Normally, with both pistols in your solder hands, you have to pull both R2 and L2 buttons to fire both pistols, which is not always convenient. But when Akimbo mod is enabled, you can rapid fire both pistols at the same time just by holding down R2 button (in default button layout). Akimbo eliminates the need to press both buttons and it adds the power of rapid fire to your handguns. The mod is deadly at close range.

How Do I Operate Akimbo Mode?

To activate:

  • Hold down mod switch on the back
  • Tap D-pad Left button
  • The LED1 indicator will glow BLUE. Then equip your soldier with dual-wielded pistols. Once your soldier is equipped, press and hold R2 button. The modchip will take over and unload the clips on both pistols.

To scroll to the next mode:

  • Make sure Akimbo Mod is ON in order to change to the next modes.
  • Hold down mod switch on the back
  • Hold down D-pad left button
  • LED1 will blink in BLUE to indicate which mode you are changing to. Select the mode from the list below that is most appropriate for you. You can also customize the rapid fire speed of each mode (see “What Is Programming Mod?” below).

There are several different Akimbo modes available that allow you to further customize your Akimbo experience. Use modes 1 through 3 if your pistols are semi-automatic and it will add rapid fire to your pistols. Use Mode 4 if your pistols are fully-automatic.

  • Mode 1: 9.5 shots-per-second. When you scope in your primary rifle, Rapid Fire stays turned on, Akimbo is OFF
  • Mode 2: 9.5 shots-per-second. When you scope in your primary rifle, Rapid Fire turns off. Akimbo is OFF.
  • Mode 3: 9.5 shots-per-second. Akimbo mode stays turned on always.
  • Mode 4: 9.5 shots-per-second. Mimic mode. Pull the R2 button (in default), modchip automatically presses L2 button (in default).

To turn OFF:

  • Hold down mod switch on the back
  • Tap D-pad Down button
  • The First LED will turn OFF. Auto Burst is OFF.

What Games Is Akimbo Mod Compatible With?

Akimbo Mode is compatible with all Call of Duty games.

What Is Programming Mod?

Don't like the pre-tuned speed we've provided? Create-your-own!

Reprogram your Akimbo modes to any speed from 5 shots-per-second up to 99 shots-per-second. Akimbo speed is programmed by individually setting the tens digit, the ones digit, and the decimal digit. For example, if the speed is 12.0 shots per second. "1" is the tens digit, "2" is the ones digit, and "0" is the decimal digit. Any time an LED flashes very quickly, this means one of your numbers is set to "0". Otherwise, it will slowly blink the number.

It's also important to know that the software developers for each video game may have set a universal speed cap. The cap is different for every game. If you try to dial in your Akimbo speed above this cap, your gun will actually shoot slower, or not shoot at all.

How do I program in my very own custom Akimbo speed?

  • Turn on Akimbo and scroll to the mode you would like to edit.
  • Hold the mod switch on the back and then tap the PS-Home button. All four LED’s will light up in WHITE to let you know that it’s waiting for further input.
  • Tap D-pad Left button. All four LEDs will blink in BLUE to let you know we’re going to start programming the Akimbo speed.
  • Let’s say your speed started at 9.5 shots per second. The mod will blink the “tens” digit on LED1. In this case, the tens digit is 0 (since you’re at 9.5 shots, there’s no digit in the tens place). The mod will do a very quick flash to indicate a “0”.
  • Tap the L2 Button to decrease the tens digit, or tap the R2 Button to increase the tens digit. The mod will blink in BLUE on LED1 to let you know what the current number is. When you’re happy with the number →
  • Tap the mod switch to move to the next number. Now we’re at the “ones” digit and they will blink on LED2. Follow the procedure from above.
  • Tap the L2 Button to decrease the ones digit, and tap the R2 Button to increase the ones digits.
  • Tap the mod switch to save that digit and move to the decimal place.
  • Lastly, we’re at the decimal place. Digits will blink on LED3. Follow the procedure from above one last time.
  • Tap the L2 Button to decrease the decimal, and tap the R2 Button to increase the decimal.
  • Tap the mod switch to save your selection. The mod will blink all LEDs in BLUE three more times to let you know that your new speed was saved.

The controller will always remember the last programming speed you have before powering down.
