Killzone 2 is a first-person shooter, developed by Guerrilla Games exclusively for PlayStation 3 system, that was published in 2011. It is the third installment in the Killzone series that began on PS2 with Killzone and continued on the PSP with Killzone: Liberation. The game was greatly appraised for its graphics, animation and levels structure and was criticized for a weak storyline and characters. The title sold over one million copies worldwide not meeting the expectations of debut sales of Killzone 2 in the United States were 323,000 within 48 hours of launch. On April 16, 2009, Sony announced that sales of Killzone 2 had surpassed one million worldwide.
The game comes with an awesome visual sense with striking particle details from walls and balconies to stone foundations of service areas and buildings. The campaign feels very much like a co-op mode as you always play with one or more other soldiers who help you on your journey. The multiplayer mode is an awesome experience to play through. Not only is it incredibly deep, but there's a ton of things for newcomers and experienced veterans. It is broken into two segments: the offline component of multiplayer, which is basically a practice arena and the online component with eight selected maps.
